Hippie Goth Fabric Pin Cushion Cyclops

Hello all, today I want to share with you my latest creations.  I have made pin cushions before but never this elaborate.  I never to sell on my shop.  I found this fabric napkins that were being discarded.  They were perfectly new.  To avoid them being thrown into a land fill I brought them home and ran them through the washing machine and dryer til they smelled fresh.  Then I proceeded to make a shape out of one.  Next thing you know I have two shapes that look like it could be made into a fabric mushroom pin cushion.  The cyclops eye came later.

I may consider doing a tutorial on how I make these pin cushion. This particular pin cushion is available on my etsy shop.

Repainted Papier Mache Tribal African Art Doll Tutorial

So hello everyone.  As you know I now have a working camera.  Yesterday I recorded and uploaded the final part to my 6 part tutorial on how to make a Repainted Papier Mache Tribal African Art Doll.  I have truly enjoyed creating these tutorials for all to use and share with their friends and family who are interested in expressing themselves through art.

Art is very therapeutic for me and it could be for you too if you give it a go. I talk about many times in my shows how important it is for people to communicate in a non violent way.  And if you cannot solve disagreements and conflict through reasoning with words go out into Mother Earth and see if creating some art to express how you are feeling the moment helps.

Thank you all for you love and support over the years regarding my creations.  I create art to share with the world so that you can see how important it is to express those intense emotions you are feeling.  If left unexpressed they become trapped with your body and could very well be the cause of so many diseases that people get diagnosed with every day here on earth.

Brightest Blessings,\

Hello All, If you are still following my art blog here I just wanted you all to know that my camera is no longer working so that means lack of how to videos.  And I will be re listing items on my shop that have expired. I have also lowered the prices on all of the relisted items. And each piece of art you purchase comes with a free gift.

Today July 23 is my birthday.  I feel like I need to recharge myself with Mother Earth.  I have been using art as therapy to deal with issues that I have.  Here is a few:   arthritis in both of my knees and ankles, PTSD, social anxiety, dyslexia, and anxiety.  It has been working for me.  I release what I need to let go of and process those feelings and emotions in a positive way.

Please do come by my shop and support my creations so that I can afford to buy a new camera.  I depend on the camera for my income.  Right now I am kind of at a stand still.

Here are a few of the newer pieces of jewelry I was able to upload before my camera went down.

3 Astral Alien Beings Rhinestone Polymer Clay Dreadlock Beads Free Gift

These 3 Astral Alien Beings Rhinestone Polymer Clay Dreadlock Beads were created using polymer clay, rhinestones, mod podge, acrylic paints, and lots of love.

I hand sculpted these beads with various fimo brand polymer clay colors. I bake them in a toaster oven designated for baking polymer clay beads and charms. I then painted the face and details on each bead. I next add the rhinestones. And for the final touch I seal them with mod podge.

Two of the dreadlock beads will fit skinny dreadlocks. One will fit a medium dreadlock.

Thank you so much for supporting handmade hair jewelry.

Protection and Love Polymer Clay Dreadlock Beads

These 4 Love and Protection Rhinestone Polymer Clay Dreadlock Beads were created using Fimo brand polymer clay, mod podge, rhinestones and acrylic paint.

Each dreadlock bead was hand sculpted using various polymer clay colors. I applied mod podge to them to seal in the design and the rhinestones. One of the beads has the Runic symbol for love. Another one has hearts all over to symbolize love. And one has the runic protection symbol on it. The fourth bead has the rhinestone colors I associate with love.

The three beads fit medium sized dreadlocks. And one bead fits skinny dreadlocks.

Fabric Goddes Bookmark Made From Donated Fabric and Paper Bead Earrings

Hello, so as you can tell from the long title I have been busy creating so much art.  A kind subscriber of my youtube channel sent me a box of recycled fabrics.  With some of the fabric I made a fabric bookmark. I drew the design of the goddess on both sides. Mod podge was applied to the drawing.  And then I sewed the recycled fabric around the edges and tied some tight knots on the end.

I also have been working on a series of funny paper bead earrings with rhinestones.

For more of my art work please go to www.darkmoondoll.etsy.com.  With each purchase you will get a free gift.

Thank you so much for the love and support.  Regards Darkmoon Doll

Psychedelic Mushroom Hippie Girl Paper Beaded Necklace

This Psychedelic Mushroom Hippie GirlPaper Beaded Necklace was created using handmade paper beads, polymer clay mushroom charm, stretchy cord, and mod podge.

The polymer clay mushroom charm was created using fimo brand polymer clay that I sculpted and painted. And then I sealed it with mod podge. Next I hand rolled paper beads which have the designs from National Geographic Magazine and Guitar Player Magazine. I then sealed them with mod podge. Once everything was dry I strung the charm and beads onto stretch cord. I tied the end into a very tight double knot so it won't unravel.

You can wear this necklace long or wrap it around your neck for more a choker affect.

One size fits all.

Thank you for supporting handmade, recycled, upcycled wearable art.

You can find these handmade creations at www.darkmoondoll.etsy.com

Hand Painted Stone Fridge Magnets

Today I posted my hand painted stone fridge magnets.  Each magnet is different and has its own energy.  I collected these stones from The American River in California.  I like to occasionally take hikes there.  I usually just paint on the stones that I find.  This time I thought that it would be cool to make this art more funcitonal.

I mean what's more groovy than a magical stone magnet on your fridge.  Every time you look at it you will feel, love, protection, serenity within your home.

I create art to express the world I see around me. I feel that more and more people are really needing works of art within their homes to help purify and cleanse there living space.  Too often we take in so much negative energy and forget to ground ourselves outside our living space.  I hope that these hand painted magnets can bring about that awareness that we are all energy.

These magnets are available at www.darkmoondoll.etsy.com

Angelic Musical Muse Art Doll And Vodou Inspired Paper Beaded Necklace

Hello Everyone,
Today I am going to share with you a creation that was recently purchased from my shop.  I am still working on her.  I mentioned her on my youtube channel show by the name of Art Talk.  A kind woman asked if I would put her on reserve as well as a Vodou inspired paper bead and polymer clay necklace.  All I have left to do with this doll is to let the rhinestones dry on the back of her wings and make the guitar strap for her little guitar that I created using an old toy guitar that I painted with a design that matches perfectly with her.

I am really excited that people are interested in what I create because I feel that my art is here to help heal and inspire.  We are all inspired by our environment so that is why I encourage everyone to try creating art out in nature.

Mother Earth has a lot to teach you.  And when creating art outdoors what I am being taught is to listen closely to my intuition. I feel guided to continue to live a life doing things that bring me joy.

Thank you all for the love and support regarding my artistic endeavors.

Brightest Blessings,

Trina

Sunday, January 3, 2016

Hello One and All.  If you are coming to this art blog for the first time let me introduce myself.  My name is Trina and I am an artist of many mediums.  I create art dolls, handmade handbags ,purses, paintings drawings, sculptures, paper bead and fabric bead jewelry, fabric dreadlock beads just to name a few things

Today I want to share with you an art doll that I recently posted on my etsy shop.  For those of you that don't know I have an etsy shop where I sell the creations that I have been posting on this blog. wwwdarkmoondoll.etsy.com

So this doll was created purely instinctively like almost all of my dolls are unless I am doing a commission piece for an art collector and that person has specific instructions as to how they want their creation to look. Her name is Fearless Darkmoon and she is a Cloth Horror Art Doll.  She is hand sewn and hand painted meticulously.  She is a two-sided doll.  A two- sided doll is a doll that has two fronts and no back.  So you get two dolls for the price of one.

Her eyes on one side are from river rocks I found at the river nearby where I live.  I am always being inspired by Mother Nature within all the art that I create.

You may wonder why I named this doll Fearless Darkmoon.  Well look at her.  She has no arms, she is bloody and beaten down yet she continues to move on her life's path. I feel it so symbolic of my life and all of the many trials and tribulations I had to endure in order to get to where I am now.

Thank you for stopping by to read my art blog.  Please do check out my youtube channel under the name Darkmoon Doll where I have a show called Art Talk.  I show you how I create these pieces of art and why I believe that art is so very therapeutic and helpful for those who cannot express themselves verbally.
